I personally have a weird phenomenon where I only remember the dreams I have around once per month at max, so I am not really the best person to talk to about this.
According to a National Geographic article, Danish researchers tested 50 people on their dreams, 25 of which were blind, and 25 of which could see normally. For four weeks, they would fill out a questionnaire about the dream. All the people that could see, had a visual aspect in their dreams. With the blind people, depending on how long they had been blind, they saw less and less, and people who are blind since birth didn’t see anything. However, they reported the other senses more than people with good eyes. 86 of the blind people reported hearing things in their dreams, compared to only 64 among the people that could see.
Deaf people had the same thing, only with seeing happening more often in dreams.
Another interesting fact: Blind people had a lot more nightmares. 25% of the dreams of the people who had been blind since birth, 7% of the later-onset blind group and 6% of the people who could see.
