Language always changes. Recently, people have started replacing dived by dove as the past tense form for dive. The difficult part is to find out why this is happening, the motivation behind the change. TV is often the culprit. The TV and other means of mass communication diffuse catch-phrases. For example, to compliment someone, and then take it back at the last second: "That's a nice purple shirt you're wearing - NOT!", which originated from Saturday Night Live.
However, there is no proof for TV changing people's sounds or grammar. We do always listen to people, and when someone uses a certain sentence or word, and we like it, we may pick it up ourselves, and spread it even further. TV also does this, only to the whole world instead of just one person you're talking to. In other words, the sounds and grammar doesn't get changed by TV, but the vocabulary and sayings do.
